PSC Monthly Sales Report ¡V June 2008
Hsinchu, Taiwan¡ÐPowerchip Semiconductor Corporation (PSC, ticker 5346) announced unaudited net sales of 6.212 billion NT dollars for June 2008 without 8-inch foundry contribution, representing a 2 % increase month on month.
PSC Vice President and Spokesperson Mr. Eric Tang stated that Fab 8A was spun off in April as Maxchip Electronics Corporation and for the month of June, has already formally begun to operate independently. Therefore June revenue will not include the Maxchip¡¦s revenue contribution of around 300 million NT dollars. June commodity DRAM prices remained flat in conjunction with continued 70nm yield improvement, allowing PSC to experience small shipment growth. Even without Maxchip¡¦s 8-inch contribution, PSC June revenues were still able to grow to 6.212 billion NT dollars.
