PSC Monthly Sales Report –March 2008
Hsinchu, Taiwan－Powerchip Semiconductor Corporation (PSC, ticker 5346) announced unaudited net sales of 4.542 billion NT dollars for March 2008, representing a 6.5 % drop month on month.
PSC Vice President and Spokesperson Mr. Eric Tang stated although March shipments increased slightly, however as commodity DRAM prices continue to fall sales declines month on month as well. In light of weak 512Mb DRAM pricing, PSC has adjusted its capacity to focus on producing 1Gb DRAM. As PSC’s 70nm 1Gb process yields are stable, PSC will move away production and from competing on the lower priced segment of the industry.
