PSC Monthly Sales Report – February 2008
Hsinchu, Taiwan－Powerchip Semiconductor Corporation (PSC, ticker 5346) announced unaudited net sales of 4.857 billion NT dollars for February 2008, representing a 10.7 % drop month on month.
PSC Vice President and Spokesperson Mr. Eric Tang stated as February had a significant amount of holidays reducing the number of actual working days, unit shipments increasing only slightly versus January, in addition to DRAM price declines and the recent strengthening of the NT Dollar, have all contributed to the drop in monthly sales. Although market visibility is quite low, as PSC’s 70nm DRAM production and yields continues to increase, contributing to lowering costs thus leaving PSC in a stronger position versus our peers.
