PSC Monthly Sales Report¡ÐJanuary, 2007

Hsinchu, Taiwan¡ÐPowerchip Semiconductor Corporation (PSC, ticker 5346) announced unaudited net sales of 11.731 billion NT dollars for January 2007, and 144% monthly increase compared to January of 2006 and also represents the 10th month of continuous record setting sales revenues.   

PSC spokesperson and Vice President Eric Tang stated that even though January experienced a fall in commodity DRAM prices, owing to Fab 12M¡¦s continued increased in production in conjunction with more stable yields have contributed to the 3% increase in monthly sales revenue.

Vice President Eric Tang, also noted that a further 20,000 12¡¨ wafers expansion in Fab 12M are planned for the first half.  Furthermore as the Windows Vista operating system is launched, the demand for memory will increase, which should help the overall memory industry as well as PSC.
