PSC Monthly Sales Report ¡V July 2006
Hsinchu, Taiwan¡ÐPowerchip Semiconductor Corporation (PSC, ticker 5346) announced net sales of 7.046 billion NT dollars in July 2006, a 52.87% increase YoY compared to 2005 as well as representing another monthly revenue record.
PSC spokesperson, Vice President Eric Tang, mentioned that as a result of small increases in ASP for commodity DRAM and foundry as well as improved yields and increased shipments on 90nm node, have resulted in MoM revenue growth of 10% and have contributed to four months of back to back record revenues.
Eric Tang also mentioned that Fab 12A and 12B have a current monthly capacity of over 85K 300mm wafers and Fab 12M will begin mass production in August. Furthermore as we look toward the 2H of 2006, PSC will increase its capacity along with the increased demand for DRAM during the PC peak season, therefore PSC expects its coming monthly revenue figures to better its 2Q performance.
